Comfy and Modest: Blue and White

Last week was spring break for the Christian school I work at two days a week. And while I don't spend a huge amount of time there, having an entire week off was wonderful! I was able to spend quite a bit of time doing some "spring cleaning", gardening, and begin a sewing project (post about that later). But, all good things come to an end, and it was back to the grind this week.

On my Wednesdays off, I grocery shop. Which I will admit, I LOVE! I love planning out my stops, and pushing a cart through the store, feeling all domestic and blessed to be a wife. :D

Here's the outfit I wore while completing my errands...

I LOVE this outfit! It is so comfy, casual, and it makes me feel all feminine and modest...

I have had this skirt for several years. I purchased it at a local thrift shop, and have just about worn it out. It's my favorite summer wardrobe piece...

The shirt and scarf were purchased from jane.com. If you get a chance, check them out. They sell boutique items at 50-70% off normal value.

And of course, I have to have my flip flops on for the warm weather. Can't live without them! :D

How has your week been?

Also, if I come to your mind, please say a prayer for me. I've got two decisions I have to make very soon. One is in regards to work this summer, and another is a health issue.

Have a wonderfully blessed day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!
Angel

  2. Dear Angel,

Hello there! I loved getting your comment the other day and had to stop in. I can second your love of grocery shopping--it's an errand I thoroughly enjoy. Because we have only one car right now I will often wait till it's my beloved's day off and we'll go together--making it extra fun. :)

I will be praying that the Lord gives clear direction and wisdom.

I look forward to "getting to know you"!

    Blessings, Frannie

  3. Angel, I just saw your request for prayer at the bottom of your post - I'm sorry I didn't see it earlier, or I would have come and left a comment sooner. Decisions are difficult, especially when they relate to such important things. I will definitely be praying!!

Thank you also for your comment on weightlifting the other day - the part about not using too big of weights, especially, made a difference in my workout tonight. I switched to a lighter weight when my arms started cramping, and was able to trade more reps for less weight. Which I think is better. :-) I'll be posting about my little endeavors soon!

Let me know if there's anything more specific I can pray for, but I'll be keeping those two issues in my prayers for sure. Special blessings on you and Justin!!

    Hugs,
    Vicki

Well hello there! Thanks for stopping by! I LOVE to hear from you all out there. Just please remember to keep everything kind and Christ-like. In the words of that wise papa rabbit, "If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all". :)
