Venison Stir Fry

One of the ways my husband and I spend time together, is by hunting deer in the fall. He uses a gun, and I use a bow and arrow. This past year, we were able to harvest a deer a piece. With that being said, we having been enjoying some of the most delicious varieties of meat GOD created. And the added bonus of knowing these animals lived happy, full lives, in the most natural of habitats: the woods. :D

Today I thought I would share what has become one of our favorite ways to consume le’ tasty meat. :D

Venison Stir Fry
1 green bell pepper, cut into strips
1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
1 yellow bell pepper, cut into strips
1 small onion, cut into strips
1 lb. well-trimmed boneless venison, cut into strips
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. black pepper
½ cup lite soy sauce
¼ to1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce
2 cups hot cooked brown rice
HEAT large nonstick skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium-high heat. Add bell peppers and onions; cook and stir 6 to 8 min. or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Transfer to large bowl; keep warm.

ADD meat, garlic and black pepper to same skillet; cook and stir 3 min. Add soy sauce; cook 1 min. or until meat is cooked through. Add teriyaki sauce; cook until heated through.
SPOON meat mixture into bowl with vegetables; toss gently. Serve over rice.

Yummy!
Have a wonderfully blessed day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I will have to try this. I love elk meat, but don't care much for venison. If my hubby gets a deer, we typically turn it in to pepperoni - which is terrific. But, I bet I would like venison as a stir fry. I'll have to keep that in mind.
