HIS Care Is This Storm

"Sometimes you need the storm in order to see the glory.

Sometimes it's only the deep and dark storms of life that put the glory of the Messiah and the kind of relief where I can now see it and I can now get it and I can say, "I'm okay, because this One has drawn me into eternal relationship with Him.

Sometimes you need the storm to see the glory. Oh, the care is not just Jesus' presence in the storm.

The care is the storm!

That's care, just the kind of care that we need.

He's zealous that we would see and understand that we would really have hearts of faith—sturdy, assured, confident, bold, ministering, faith.” Paul David Tripp

Words can never share how overwhelmed I have been, at the outpouring of love, support, and prayers from each of you. And I can truly say, that GOD has given a peace that surpasses all understanding.

I met with the oncologist this week, and the surgery has been scheduled for this coming Tuesday.

Many more prayers are needed.

Prayers for peace of mind, as the thought of surgery TERRIFIES me. Prayers that I will not get sick before hand, as a cold is going around my family. Prayers that it will be a smooth recovery, and all who care for me will be granted patience, as I am NOT the best of people to be around when I feel bad. ;) And prayers the cyst will not be cancerous.

I have some praises. After meeting with the oncologist, there was some relief. He feels very confident the cyst is not cancerous, and that he might even be able to save the ovary.

There are no guarantees.

Only faith, and trusting in the LORD's goodness and grace.

And GOD's people boldly approaching the throne of grace, with their petitions and praise.

GOD is good, all the time!

An Anniversary, Grassfed Beef, and Herbs

April prepares her green traffic light and the world thinks Go. ~Christopher Morley, John Mistletoe

How have you dear folks been of late? I pray that your days have been full of warming spring days, plenty of time soaking in some much needed Vitamin D while admiring the beauty of blooming flowers and budding leaves. :)

Life has been very well here in NC. There has not been anything too out of the ordinary. Just daily life, continuing it's ebb and flow. And this shy country gal, holding on and enjoying the blessings GOD has bestowed.

Like cooking breakfast for supper...

Celebrating our second wedding anniversary with a beach visit...

And stopping by our church on the way back, to continue last years tradition of recreating our first kiss.

I got to spend a day shopping with my mom...

And just about did a victory dance upon finding local grass fed beef at a local farmers market, for an AMAZING price. No joke, I had to use every bit of self control I have to keep from skipping and squealing... :D

Herbs were another purchase from the farmers market.

What a blessing it is, for it to FINALLY be warm enough to plant...

and spruce up the front porch.

We adopted five little Dominique chicks! :D

And words cannot express the excitement of owning chickens again!

What sweet, simple things of everyday life are you enjoying this spring?

Breath Taking Heights, And Choking Swamps

First up, I want to say thank-you to each of you dear ones, that took the time to leave such encouraging words in my last post. A peace washed over me soon after reading all your sweet words. And even though I do not know if GOD is going to fulfil my desires to become a mother, I do know that HE holds my future, and HE does know what is best for my life. :D

...........................................................

"Romance, sex, and childbearing are temporary gifts of God. They are not part of the next life. And they are not guaranteed even for this life. They are one possible path through the narrow way to Paradise. Marriage passes through breathtaking heights and through swamps with choking vapors. It makes many things sweeter, and with it come bitter providences.”
John Piper, This Momentary Marriage Quote

It was an emotionally turbulent week last week. Filled with highs and lows. Flying high, with my returning to regular communion with GOD. And then the disappointment at not being a mother.

And I am ashamed to say, that I tended to push my husband away while I was hurting.

But the LORD showed me how wrong that was, and after asking HIS forgiveness, I asked Justin for his.

GOD does not promise us happiness in this life. It is only a temporary pleasure, on this path we are taking to our forever home in heaven (if we have accepted HIS Son into our lives).

I am thankful for this gift of marriage.

As last week showed, it is filled with breathtaking heights, and swamps with choking vapors.

But marriage does make the path of life sweeter.

I feel blessed beyond measure to be a part of a marriage. And I cannot wait to continue this path, and see where GOD is going to lead us next.

Pics are from some much needed quality time, spent this past weekend.

What has the LORD brought into your life, to make the path sweeter?

Have a wonderfully blessed day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

'Round Here...

Well hello my dear friends! I pray that you are all having a wonderfully blessed day in our LORD! It's a rather sticky day here. The temps are in the mid nineties, and there is a 50% chance of showers for the forecast. Ahhh.... Sweet summer time. :D

How has life been for you this summer? Around here it has been BUSY, but great! Let me show you...

We headed to a local city on the Fourth of July, to see a firework show...

And we were treated to a beautiful sunset...

I was able to spend an evening with my family at the beach...

It reminded me of all the times spent there on outings as a child. Boy do I miss those days sometimes...

Our church holds a special luncheon for the senior citizens of the community every summer. I was asked to decorate for the event this year. I decided to go with a fishing theme...

A new addition has been added to the Bishop house. One that showed up in our yard about 3 weeks ago...

We have named her "Elsa"... :)

Justin and I decided to go looking for wild blackberries on some back country trails one day...

We were only able to find a handful...

But we did find some mud to sink the tires into...

Country entertainment at it's finest...

Justin bough me a new camera for an early birthday gift. It's a Nikon D5300. It's my first DSLR, and I am LOVING the learning experience that comes with it...

I've been able to spend time at my parents house during the day. And have been able to find plenty of willing subjects to pose...

My chickens are doing great. There is just one issue: 5 roosters and 2 hens. Yeah, we might be enjoying some fresh roasted chicken soon... ;)

Oh yeah! My mom brought me some fresh peaches straight from Georgia. I hope to freeze them for cobblers, or perhaps jam later on...

Thank-you LORD for all your blessings on me.

And thank-you for the prayers and concern regarding my health. I have been feeling much better. I haven't gotten as much rest as I hoped for. But I have been able to take things at my own pace. And I haven't had a cold since school let out. :D

Have a wonderfully blessed day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!
