Did you know, that when you turn your Keurig on, wait for it to heat up, put the little K-Cup in, and push the brew strength button to start, you should have already had a mug under it ready to catch the liquid gold?
Apparently I was oblivious to this fact yesterday morning before school....
Which instead of a joyful cup all ready to go, to aid in keeping up with five three year olds all morning, I ended up with a puddle around the machine, and a dripping mess all over the floor.
Did you know it was going to be school picture day that very same day. I didn't.
So, when I arrived at the school I work at yesterday morning, I grabbed my cup of liquid happiness (thankfully there was time to clean up said mess, and try again...), my bag, and headed to my class. And lo and behold, I find a sign on the door announcing class picture day.
Which means a group picture with the little kiddies.
On the plus side to this surprise, I had actually taken some thought and time into my outfit for the day. Usually it's just grab whatever is clean and wrinkle free.
The shirt if from Loft, purchased two years ago at the end of season...
The skirt is a Goodwill find from last week...
and I was pretty excited at finding it. I think white skirts are a summer wardrobe staple, and my old one, well, I recently discovered it has a big ole' hole near the zipper.
These shoes are another Goodwill find, but from three, maybe even four years ago. But this is only the third time they have been worn. I have no clue why. Because I love the vintage appeal they have. Maybe it's the color that is hard to match. Any hoo...
Don't ya just love messes and surprises? Even when they happen before 8 am? :P
When I can laugh about them, and smile and move on, I do. :)
Any surprises or mess making of late?
Have a wonderfully blessed day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!
Angel
