Blue and White Stripes Keeping Me Warm

I am very unfortunate to have a sensitivity to cold. In my book, any temp below 75 is cold. And it's all the same, whether it's 72 or 32, it's cold. Which is why the whole idea of fall and winter is not on my list of happy thoughts...

Anyway, the temps were in the upper 80's this past Friday, and it was grocery shopping day. While temps in the 80's are great for staying outdoors, it means that I can guarantee you the stores air conditioner will be working quite well, keeping everyone cool. I opted for a long sleeve tee for the day to keep me comfy while in and out the air conditioning...

I recently purchased this shirt at Clothes Mentor for only $5. I love the blue and white stripes...

The skirt I have owned for several years now.  And it is by far the most comfy jean skirt I have owned. It was a Goodwill find. I'm pretty sure I did not pay above $4 for it...

With my flip flops, pearl earrings, and side braid, this outfit was really fun, and comfy to where out and about...

Are you looking forward to colder weather? Can you tolerate the cold pretty easily?

Have a wonderfully blessed day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Hi Angel! My name is Ashley and I started following your blog about a week ago (found you on the Modest Mom Blog link up!). I just wanted to tell you how encouraging your blog has been for me these past few days! I thoroughly enjoyed reading your previous posts and I can't wait what else the Lord will lay on your heart to share. Beautiful beautiful blog, I adore it and am definitely a new fan!
This is such a gorgeous outfit! I ADORE denim skirts! So comfy, feminine and modest at the same time. I wear them pretty much every single day! I love your top, so cute! 75 degrees is warm for Oregon. Our winters can get down to 16 degrees and high of 40s and 50s! Our summers rarely go beyond 90 and stay at a comfortable 80 degrees! :D

    1. Hi Ashley!

Thank you for the very sweet words! I'm thankful that this blog has been a blessing to you! I pray it continues to be for you!
Wow! 16 degrees is cold! Our winter highs average in the 60's with lows in the 40's and 30's. I'm very appreciative of our summer temps that reach into the 90's. :D

      Have a blessed day!

  2. What a lovely top!! The color and cut are very flattering on you, and you accessorized it well! Definitely a winner! :-D

I am definitely NOT looking forward to the colder weather ... not because of the cold, per se, as much as just because the thought of winter is really depressing to me this year. Maybe it won't be so bad when it actually comes. :-)

I'm so glad you're doing well, my friend! Take care and stay warm!!

    Hugs,
    Vicki

    1. Thanks Vicki! My sister said the same thing recently, about dreading the thought of winter. Which is really odd because she loves the cold. Not so much the dark days though. I've been trying really hard to prep myself mentally for it, but it is so hard. :P
