I Will!
Guess what I have done two weeks in a row? I wrote out a menu and coordinating grocery shopping list! Woo-hoo! I feel like such a domestic engineer… ;)
When Justin and I were first married last April, I was all into being the perfectly organized wife, and writing out my shopping list and menus. And then time passed along and, yeah, the enthusiasm was gone (organization has never come easily for me…).
Yes, I still cooked for us, but the meals a lot of the time were planned at the last minute with me asking Justin to bring something home, or me making a mad dash to the store for that last ingredient. Or even to my shame at times asking his parents for that one ingredient I needed to finish up the pizza dough…
With a new year, I am slowly making some life changes. And one of those changes is striving to be organized in our meal planning. That is especially necessary since I am now eating gluten free as much as possible.
No more last minute meal deals for me and the hubby.
Everything is going to be planned out.
I can do this.
I’m a wife. (Mind blown by that fact most days)
I am a domestic engineer, and I will do this!
Or at least by GOD’s grace, I am going to try.
Why? So through HIS grace, I can be a blessing and help meet to my husband. Just as I am called to be.
So off to the grocery store I go. Move out the way folks! I am a wife on mission. Oh yes…
Have a wonderfully blessed day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!
Angel

Your life and passion for Jesus is so inspiring :)
ReplyDeleteHi Angel! It was such a lovely surprise to see that you'd stopped by my blog today!! :-D How are your organization endeavors going? Are things going better for you?
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing about my post regarding the polar vortex is that, by the time I wrote it and it was 12 degrees, I was actually relieved by how much WARMER it was ... on one of the days, the air temp was -17, and the wind chill was -38!! We don't usually get weather like that around here - it was a bit hard to deal with! :-O
You're very welcome for the debate information, too - I am MASSIVELY excited and can't wait for Tuesday! And it will be fun to know that you'll be watching, too! :-D
I hope everything is going well for you, my friend! I miss seeing you on Blogger as often as I used to, but I definitely rejoice to know that you and Justin are busy and growing together! <3
Have a wonderful evening and stay warm!
Hugs,
Vicki
Hello again Angel! I hope everything is going well for you and that you're starting to feel spring coming - it's getting warmer here, and I'm SO happy about that! :-D
ReplyDeleteI tagged you in a little thing over at my blog - I don't know whether you'll have time or want to, but I just didn't feel right making a tag and not inviting you. ;-) So if you'd like to take a little break and do something random, you're welcome to have fun with the tag!
Blessings and hugs to you, dear friend!
Love,
Vicki
