To my great shame, I have been feeling sorry for myself quite a bit this week. Crying, worrying, you name it, I've done it. But as of this moment, I am going to look on the bright side of life, and thank the LORD for all the good he has brought into my life. Like...
~ Having a lot of time to help my mom out around the house. My neighbor has slowed down in the farm business, so I have been out of a job there. But this has given me plenty of time to spend helping out a little extra around the homestead. :)
~ The LORD's provision and wisdom in money matters. With me being unexpectedly out of work, you think I would have problems financially. But praise the LORD for leading me to save a good portion of what I made last year. It's enough to hold me over until school starts and beyond. :D
~ The ability to exercise 2 hours a day. A good portion of people are not able to get out of bed and walk in the morning. I praise the LORD for letting me be physically able to walk 2 hours a day, in the gorgeous scenery of my parents homestead. :D
~ For having a friend like Justin, listen to my problems and feelings. For me, when I'm feeling down, it helps a huge lot to just get things out in the open. Talking about how things are going in life, and having a listening ear is such a blessing. One that I have never experienced before, outside my family, until now. :)
~ The gorgeous full moon this week. I was able to spend a good bit of time outside in it's light. All the shadows cast are almost magical. I do believe a full moon night is one of GOD's greatest natural creations. :)
~ For being able to return to my K-3 teaching job in about three weeks. I'm really excited about this year. I have so many teaching ideas for the kids, swimming through my head, I can hardly wait to get started. And since this will be my primary job, I can spend more time and energy on this, instead of extending myself in 3 different directions. :D
~ Lastly, but most importantly, that as of July 28th, I have been saved 8 years. After quite a bit of soul searching that year, I finally gave my life over to the LORD, and became HIS child at 12:08 am. :D :D :D
Thank-you LORD for all of your wonderful blessings on me!
What are you thankful for this week?
Have a wonderfully blessed day! Thanks for stopping by!

Aw, Angel, I'm sorry about your job being so cut back. I'm glad you've been keeping busy, but I know that's hard to adjust to. :-(
ReplyDeleteBut the Lord surely has been blessing you! I'm glad you have your K-3 teaching job coming up, and I'm glad you have someone like Justin to be such a good friend. And the full moon was beautiful, wasn't it? I had to run some errands in the evening, and I really enjoyed seeing it!
Thanks for reminding me to count my blessings instead of my "wants"! :-)
Have a wonderful day, my friend!
Love,
Vicki
