But alas, they cannot look like this all year round. All but a few of my 40 or so sunflowers are dead. :( Can anyone say depressed? Because that is about how I feel when I walk by those drooping blossoms. Where's my mourning garb? Oh well. The birds seem to be enjoying the seeds. And hey! Next year, and next seasons blossoms will come sooner than you think. :D

I so appreciate your honesty, friend! I've been up and down lately -- mostly excited for the start of college (AHHH o.O), but sad at leaving behind family and seeing my sister move across the ocean. Oh well; life is both beautiful and sad. Don't be hard on yourself for a weird day like this; they come and go from time to time. :)
