Life, Love, and Deer Hunting

Good day friends and family! I pray you are all having a wonderful day in our LORD! It’s a rainy day here in my neck of the woods. But it sure has been beautiful. It’s like the rain has washed away the summer haze, and allowed the beauty and colors of autumn to burst forth. And it’s been great in forcing me to take care of indoor chores. ;)

So, has it really been over six months since I have given a life update here? I feel so ashamed in how long it has been. I never meant to take such a long break in blogging. I was hoping to have even more time after getting married to blog, but that has not been the case. With daily housekeeping and the huge transition and adjustment it has been in joining and beginning a new life with Justin, this poor little blog has gone neglected.

All excuses aside, I am here now, and hope to get back into the swing of sharing my life with all of you my dear friends, and sharing what the LORD is daily teaching me.

As of yesterday, Justin and I have been married for 6 months. I can hardly believe how fast time is flying by! It has been an amazing time in drawing closer to Justin, and relying on my LORD and Savior in leading our lives. I daily fall more and more in love with this man, and am so thankful for GOD allowing us to come together when HE did.

It’s been a great joy in fixing up the little house we are currently living in.

It is right next door to his parents, and only 15 minutes from my parents. I am so blessed in the fact I am surrounded by family, and was not forced to move away from them so soon, like so many I know have had to do after getting married.

The only pet I have taken with me is my dog Kaia.

My chickens Rhett and Chantal are still at my parents. I could bring them here, but I’m afraid of the stress it would put on them in such a move. I’ve missed them dearly, but I am blessed to get to see them several times a week. J

I started my fourth year of teaching K-3 this past August. It’s only 2 half days a week, so there in no interference on house work. I have a pretty good class this year. There are 5 girls and 1 boy. Each so far have been pretty obedient, and a joy to work with.

One of my favorite seasons arrived in September. Deer hunting! And guess what? After hunting almost every week last year with no success, look what I got last Tuesday evening…

Oh yeah! Fresh meat for the freezer and some antlers for décor! :D

Well, I better get off of here for now. Justin walked in the door from a long day at work and this wife needs to get busy and feed her man! :D

Have a wonderfully blessed day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Hi Angel!! Goodness, I've missed you! It's so good to hear from you, and I love seeing all your lovely pictures - what a lovely, homey house you two have built! You both look very happy, and very much in love! ;-)

Good job on your deer, too! I've never hunted myself, but I have lots of friends who do, and I know from them how hard it is to get one - way to go!! <3

Thank you so much for checking in, dear friend, and I definitely do look forward to "seeing" you more often!!

    Big hug to you!

Well hello there! Thanks for stopping by! I LOVE to hear from you all out there. Just please remember to keep everything kind and Christ-like. In the words of that wise papa rabbit, "If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all". :)
