Of Late

Good day friends and family! I pray that you are all having a wonderfully blessed day in our LORD! It's a warm and muggy afternoon here. We had some pretty drenching thunderstorms this morning, lasting into the afternoon. I thought maybe it would cool things off a bit, but alas it has turned the atmosphere into a sauna. But I'm not complaining. I love the warmth, and will bask in all it's glory, for fall will soon be here, along with cold temps. :)

So, how have the last few weeks of your life been? Mine, have pretty good. Not as busy as I would like them to be perhaps, but still they have kept me hopping. I have primarily been gearing up for my K-3 teaching job, which begins this week. Tuesday night will be open house, with the first official class day on Thursday.

I kind of have mixed emotions about school starting up. On the one hand I am excited to be working, and serving at our church's Christian school. On the other though I am pretty nervous.

I guess I am just worried about how well the children will obey. I had some major issues with disobedience last year. No amount of kindness or punishment would change some children's attitudes, and that really wore me down. But, the LORD taught me a lot through those times. Patience was the big lesson, and I am praying that patience learned last year, will continue into this coming school year. :)

But over all, I am pretty excited at starting anew, on a clean slate, so to speak. :D

Work around my parents homestead moves steadily along. Animals are fed and milked daily. And all seem to be doing quite well.

I will be completing a personal endurance challenge, for the third year in a row this Saturday. I will be walking fifteen miles, around a local lake. I am so excited about this event. Not only do I get to spend time in the great outdoors, I get to challenge myself mentally and physically. I can't wait! :D

Well, I think I'm going to get off of here for now. I need to get some things around the house cleaned up before I complete and hour of walking this evening. So until next time...

Have a wonderfully blessed day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Praying for you as you start another school year teaching three year olds. They can be trying sometimes (as you have found) but they can be a joy as well. Praying you have a great year!

Well hello there! Thanks for stopping by! I LOVE to hear from you all out there. Just please remember to keep everything kind and Christ-like. In the words of that wise papa rabbit, "If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all". :)
